On November 25, 2024, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Mongolia Tourism Organization (Go Mongolia) and the Thai Cultural Council in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (TCCM). The MOU, aimed at fostering cultural exchange and collaboration, was signed by Mr. Batzorig Vanchinkhuu, Vice President of the Mongolia Tourism Organization, and Mr. Nattapong Punthakeirtpaisarn, President of the Thai Cultural Council in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Mongolia Honorary Consul of Phuket and Phangnga, Thailand.

The signing ceremony took place at the prestigious Glory Ger Resort in Mongolia.

This MOU marks a historic milestone as the first formal agreement between two legal entities that sets a framework for the exchange of cultural traditions, performances, and collaborations between Thailand and Mongolia. The partnership aims to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen the cultural ties between the two nations.

The Thai Cultural Council in Ulaanbaatar (TCCM) was established on November 11, 2024, under the supervision of Thailand’s Ministry of Culture. This organization is the legitimate private entity tasked with promoting Thai culture and fostering cultural exchanges between Thailand and Mongolia.

The signing of this MOU is seen as a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations, with a focus on cultural diplomacy, heritage preservation, and promoting tourism through cultural activities.

The Mongolia Tourism Organization (Go Mongolia) is dedicated to promoting Mongolia as a prime tourist destination, showcasing its rich culture, heritage, and natural landscapes to international audiences.

The Thai Cultural Council in Ulaanbaatar (TCCM) is a newly established organization under the Ministry of Culture of Thailand. Its primary objective is to promote Thai culture, facilitate cultural exchanges, and strengthen the cultural relationship between Thailand and Mongolia.
